A CNIL law (October 2014) requires French website publishers to inform visitors about the presence and use of cookies on the visited site.
Today, the majority of websites (if not all...) use cookies. It is very likely that you have several dozen cookies in your web browser... (it's not a disease and has nothing to do with viruses!). Cookies have a limited lifespan, ranging from a few hours to a year.
Under no circumstances are the cookies used on this site (Les Chemins Vers Compostelle) "dangerous" for your computer or tablet.
We collaborate with Google, Microsoft Clarity, and Microsoft Advertising to analyze your use and interactions with our website through behavioral indicators, heatmaps, and session replays, in order to improve and market our products and services. Website usage data is collected using first-party and third-party cookies, as well as other tracking technologies, to determine the popularity of products and services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud prevention, security, and advertising purposes. For more information on how Microsoft collects and uses your data, see Microsoft's Privacy Statement.
See Google's Privacy Policy

In Article 2 below, we explain how to manage cookies in your browser (automatically accept or not...) and possibly delete them.
Article 1: What is a Cookie and What is it Used For?
It is a small text file that may be saved in a dedicated space on your tablet or computer when visiting site pages through your browser.
These cookies, with an anonymous identifier, are necessary for the proper functioning of certain site features (contact form, comment section in some articles, credential order form validation, payment page, advertising banners)...
Article 2: How to Express Your Choices (Accept or Refuse) Regarding Cookies?
The simplest way is to manage your cookies through a platform that groups major websites and social networks like Facebook.
Visit this page Manage Your Cookies (please wait a moment as the full list of sites may take a few seconds to load).
Your choices can also be made directly via your device.
You can allow or refuse cookies to be stored on your device by configuring the appropriate settings in your Internet browser. You can manage exceptions (block or allow) for this site. However, on some websites, disabling cookies may prevent certain actions from working properly (such as logging into your account, etc.).
Note that each browser has different settings. Instructions can be found in your browser’s help menu, which will explain how to change your cookie preferences. Below are instructions for the most commonly used browsers:
